On/Off Switch Discovered in our Brains?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?
For the past couple weeks, I've been trying to spice each of my videos up with a little bit of a pinch of something different. This was for two reasons. A: Experimentation lends itself to variety and the possibility of new formats, keeping things fresh. B: My sanity. So, take a look at the examples down below and let me know your feels.
1. The Oscar Nominated (not) MAN BENDS CAR DOOR WITH BARE HANDS
Straight up, no-frills story bookended with POETRY SLAM! I hope you enjoy the Ballad of Bob Renning. If you don't... keep it to your damn self.
2. The Vid With The Most Views EVER (lies) FRANCO/ROGAN VS N. KOREA
A fun way for us to deliver a story is to find a "vehicle" or "gimmick" to present the information. Ross excelled at this form of writing and Lee does the same when she pulls from her amazing character database. I tend to stick to white bread, white wall stories delivered by a white boy. If anything, my "thing" is colorful world play delivered with physicality. I need to challenge myself more. That's why I pumped out THE DICTATORMINATORS.
3. The Emmy Award Winning (not really) BOY STUCK IN A VAGINA Story
When SourceFed started, we loved props. For whatever reason, we've sadly strayed away from that format for the most part. I conjured up some GRAPHS for this video because I think physical elements keep the viewer visually engaged and because I was too lazy to photoshop. They look like they were made by sad, underpaid and overworked children. They were not. Man hands were responsible for their glory! Ain't no overworked kids gonna steal my fire... GET BACK TO WORK!
THE BEST (no,really, it is... just shut up about it) 5 THINGS YOU MISSED
Even a show that gifts us with the ability to play with rapid-fire stupid jokes and character bits can get a little stale. I loved this episode. On top of a solid stripper-thief character from the messed up mind of Lee Newton, we've got two bits that go beyond simple mouth diarrhea. Sometimes all you have to do so say a joke. I love the moments where you can show a joke.
